A geofence is an area defined on a map. This is also called a geofence. The purpose of a geofence is to alert you (send a notification) if the vehicle leaves a specific area*.
It is important to keep in mind that all GPS receivers have a certain margin of error; therefore, make your geofence slightly larger than the actual area where the vehicle is allowed to be. For example, if you want to receive an alert when the vehicle leaves the driveway, it may be a good idea to also let the geofence cover a neighboring property.
*Depending on data plan. For the Basic data plan, one (1) device can be linked to a geofence at a time. To create multiple geofences and link a device to several geofences, you need the Boost or Premium data plan. Read more here: https://www.swetrack.com/en/pricing/
