Having an active data plan allows the product to connect to the Internet and transmit its location to you, so you can view it in the app. Without data traffic, the product will not work, as it cannot report its location to you. Starting a data plan for your device is easy and can be done in just a few steps through the SweTrack Live app for iPhone and Android or via www.swetrack.com/live (the web app).
Mobile App:
- Open the SweTrack Live app on your phone. If you have not downloaded the app, you can do so via the App Store or Google Play.
- Log in with your login details.
- Go to the device page and select your device.
- Click the "Data Plan" button and then "Start Data Plan". Then follow the on-screen instructions.
Web App:
- Go to the web app www.swetrack.com/live and log in to your account. If you do not have an account, click “Register”, follow the instructions, and log in.
- Navigate to the "Data Plans" page. If you are using a computer, click the icon that looks like a card in the menu on the left. If you are using a mobile device, tap the hamburger menu and select "Data Plans".
- Click “Add Card” and enter your card details.
- Click "Activate" and select the data plan that suits you. Then follow the on-screen instructions.
Remember: The device needs to acquire a valid position to appear on the map after the data plan has been activated. The easiest way to do this is by shaking the device outdoors or taking a short drive around the block. It may take up to 20 minutes for the data plan to activate on your device.
