Getting Started with Your Maxi+ Device
Welcome to the support guide for your SweTrack Maxi+ device. Follow the steps below to get started with your new product, understand its features, and learn how to use the SweTrack Live app for optimal performance.
LED Indicators and Buttons
The Maxi+ device is equipped with several LED indicators to help you understand its status:
- Mobile Network Indicator (Red LED): Flashes slowly when searching for a signal and quickly when connected to the mobile network.
- GPS Indicator (Blue LED): Solid when searching for GPS satellites and flashes slowly when a GPS signal is established.
- Charge Indicator (Green LED): Solid when charging and turns off when fully charged.

Low Battery Warning: Both the mobile network and GPS indicators will flash in sync when the battery is low.
1. Charging and Start-Up
Before using your Maxi+ device, charge the battery for at least 8 hours using the provided USB cable. Connect the magnetic end of the USB cable to the charging socket of the device and the other end to a wall charger with a USB socket. The charge indicator will be solid during charging and will turn off once the device is fully charged. Disconnect the charger when charging is complete.
Note: Using a higher-capacity power adapter (up to 5V ⎓ 3A) will result in faster charging times, but the device may get hot during fast charging.
2. Getting Started with the App
Download the App
Your SweTrack device is controlled through the SweTrack Live app, available on the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android). Download and install the app to manage your device's settings, view its location, and access other features.
Create an Account
- Open the SweTrack Live app and tap on "Sign Up" at the bottom of the login screen.
- Enter your email address, choose a password, and select a username.
- Enter the IMEI/ID number of your SweTrack device, found on the product box or the device itself. You can manually enter the number or use the camera icon to scan the barcode.
Use SweTrack Live from a Computer
You can also access SweTrack Live from your computer by visiting www.swetrack.com/live. Use the same login credentials as the mobile app.
3. Activating a Data Plan
Your Maxi+ device requires an active data plan for mobile data traffic. Follow these steps to activate or cancel a data plan:
How to Activate a Data Plan
- Go to the web app www.swetrack.com/live and log in to your account. If you do not have an account, click on “Sign up”, follow the instructions and then log in.
- Navigate to the "Data Plans" page. If you're using a computer, click on the icon that looks like a card in the menu on the left. If you're using a mobile device, tap the hamburger menu and then select "Data Plans".
- Click on “Add Card” and fill in your card details.
- Click the "Activate" button and select the data plan that suits you. Then follow the on-screen instructions.
How to Cancel a Data Plan
- Go to the web app www.swetrack.com/live and log in to your account.
- Navigate to the "Data Plans" page. If you're using a computer, click on the icon that looks like a card in the menu on the left. If you're using a mobile device, tap the hamburger menu and then select "Data Plans".
- Click the "Deactivate" button. Then select the device you want to deactivate and click "Proceed".
The data plan(s) will now expire at the end of the current period.
4. Mount the tracker and view position in app
Once your data plan is activated, your Maxi+ device will start working within about 20 minutes. The device’s position is automatically updated when the device is in motion. lf you do not see the device on the map in the app, you may need to shake it outside (under open sky) or go for a ride with the vehicle that the tracker is mounted to.
Power saving mode:
All Swetrack devices comes with a power saving mode which means that the GPS-tracker will go to sleep mode (offline in the app) when not detecting any movement for a certain period of time. This is to save power and ensure a longer battery life.
5. Understanding your Maxi+
Your Maxi+ comes with numerous features such as temperature and humidity sensors and different wake up settings.
Device Information
If you click on your device in the device list of the app you can see the following device information:
- Battery Level: Shows the current battery charge status.
- Altitude: Displays the device's current elevation.
- Temperature: Indicates the current temperature reading.
- Humidity: Shows the current humidity level.
Settings
Configure various parameters to customize your Maxi+ device. You can find these parameters on the settings page of the app:
- Device Name: Set or modify the name.
- Speed Alarm: Set a speed threshold to trigger an alarm if exceeded.
- Map Icon: Select an icon to represent your device on the map.
- Power Saving Mode: Enable or disable this mode to conserve battery life.

Wake-Up Settings: Configure how the device wakes up from power-saving mode (vibration, time interval, or light changes).
- Vibration Wake up: Maxi+ will wake up and keep updating as long as it detects motion. After a period of no motion Maxi+ will go back to sleep.
- Time Wake up: Select a time interval that you want Maxi+ to wake up and update its current status to then go back to sleep. Enable safety zone to have Maxi+ switch to vibration wake up if it has moved outside of a 1 km radius of original position.
- Light Wake up: Maxi+ will detect changes in the amount of light hitting its light sensor and wake up when it changes. Useful if the device was to be removed.
- Vibration Wake up: Maxi+ will wake up and keep updating as long as it detects motion. After a period of no motion Maxi+ will go back to sleep.
- Temperature Alarm: Set a temperature threshold to trigger an alarm if exceeded.
- Humidity Alarm: Set a humidity threshold to trigger an alarm if exceeded.
