You can use the separate power relay to control the power supply to your vehicle. Using the relay is completely optional and you can still track your product without this feature. Installing a relay is not quite as simple as installing your GPS tracker to plus and minus on a battery, but below is an explanation of how you can still install the relay yourself. We strongly recommend that you have a professional take care of the connection of the relay if you choose to use this. We are not responsible for any damage to yourself or your property that is a result of incorrect connection of the relay.
SweTrack's power relay can be installed on most vehicles, but the approach may look a little different. Common to all, however, is that a power relay is installed between the battery, the GPS tracker and the vehicle. The following are instructions for the most common vehicles:
To connect the SweTrack device relay, connect the yellow cable on the product cable to the yellow cable on the SweTrack power relay. Then locate the control cable on the relay belonging to the external equipment you want to control. Cut the control cable in two places and bridge the green and red cable from the SweTrack device’s relay on the control cable as shown in the illustration below. Black cable on the SweTrack device’s relay is connected to the negative terminal of the external equipment.
