If you want to change your devices' power saving mode, i.e., to save energy when they do not detect motion, you can easily do this in SweTrack Live. In the following article we will walk you through the steps for SweTrack Live for mobile and SweTrack Live for browsers.
Note that you can only see the power saving modes that that particular device supports.
SweTrack Live for mobile:
Start by first navigating to My Devices that you reach by tapping the icon on the far left of the lower navigation menu.
Here you get a list of all the devices that you have added to your account. Select device by tapping the arrow icon to the right of the device name. This will open the device settings.
By pressing Power Saving Mode, you open a pop-up with different options for Power Saving modes. The switch that is activated will be marked blue.
Standard Power Saving Mode is what is set as standard and means that the device will "sleep" when it does not detect any movement. This is to save both the device's internal battery and the external battery. When the device then detects movement, it will then be activated again. Standard power saving mode means that the GPS-transmitter stops sending data to the server and that everything on the circuit board is shut down except for the radio chip which enables mobile coverage. This means that the device can quickly jump back on to online when it detects movement again.
Aggressive Power Saving Mode, like standard power saving mode, means that the device "sleeps" when it no longer detects any movement. The difference between the two alternatives is that in aggressive mode, the radio chip is also turned off, which means that it draws even less power, but can take longer to jump back to online again when it detects movement.
Power Saving Mode Off means that the device never enters sleep mode and is constantly active. This strains the external and internal battery but allows the device to constantly send data to the server.
Select an option by tapping the corresponding switch and then save by clicking on Save.
SweTrack Live for browsers:
To edit a device’s power saving mode you can do this by either clicking on a device in the device list on the homepage.
Or you can navigate to My Devices which you reach by clicking the second option in the menu on the left and then click on a device in the device list.
This will open the device settings.
By clicking on Power Saving Mode, you will open a pop-up with different options for Power Saving Modes. The option that is activated is marked blue.
