The following article explains how to change the map settings and how your icons should be displayed in SweTrack Live. The explanations are based on both SweTrack Live for mobile and SweTrack Live for browsers.
SweTrack Live for mobile:
Once you have logged in and are on the map view, there are two icons in the top right corner. One that looks like a hollow gear and another icon that looks like a paper airplane.
See the position of your mobile
By pressing the paper airplane, the map will be centered to the current position of your mobile phone. By doing this, you can see your own position in relation to your vehicles that you have on the map. Your own position will be visualized with a blue solid circle. Note that this only works if you have location services turned on. If they are not switched on, this can be activated in the mobile's settings. If location services are not turned on, you will receive an error message informing you of this.
Change how your devices appear on the map:
Touching the gear icon opens the map settings menu. Here you can, among other things, change the type of map that should be visible, but also how your devices should be displayed on the map. By clicking on the last three options where the buttons look like toggles, the toggle will move from left to right and go from gray to blue and vice versa. Blue toggles mean that the setting is activated. You can have as many options as you like activated at the same time.
The options are as followed:
Trace unit- causes the device to draw a line behind it, thus showing an indication of how it is moving. As the device then moves further, the old position will be erased and the new position will be registered.
Show geofences - show all geofences that have been created, on the map.
Show device names - shows the name under all devices on the map.
Changing the map type:
Under map settings you can also change what the map should look like. You can do this by clicking on the Change map type. Map types to choose from are:
- Default view - This setting is the default map view and is the same as the one you most often see on Google Maps.
- Hybrid view - A mixture of satellite view and default view.
- Satellite View - A map that shows buildings and terrain taken from satellites.
- Terrain view - A physical map based on terrain information
- Dark mode - A map that is similar to the default view mode but gentle on the eyes at night.
By pressing any of the options, the map will change to that specific map type.
View modes for a specific device
To change the display mode for a specific device, tap on My Devices which is the icon on the far left in the navigation menu.
Select a device from the list and tap on Show Current Location. You can now see on the map where specifically that device is located and all the other device’s will disappear from the map.
If you tap on the cogwheel icon and select Trace Unit or Show Geofences, these options will apply only to the selected device. For example, only geofences connected to that device will be displayed. Note that these settings disappear when you switch to the map view by clicking on the icon in the middle of the navigation menu.
